Francis (Fritz) Barta, 91, died on April 20th, 2020 at Central Health Care in Le Center, Minnesota, his family at his side.
He was born on September 27th, 1928 to Frank and Mary Barta (Malecha) on their family farm East of Lonsdale, MN; attending and graduating from school there as well.

Susan M. Kurkowski, 75, of New Prague, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020, in Jordan, surrounded by family.
Susan was born to Alvie and Claudia (Opsahl) Olson on July 20, 1944, in Barnesville, Minnesota. She grew up on the family farm and then moved to Minneapolis with her family in her teens.
Susan enjoyed going to the casino, watching cooking shows, puzzles, gardening, shopping for antiques, but enjoyed spending time with her family the most. Her love of Elvis Presley's music even enticed her to visit Graceland on two occasions.
Lois E. Ivan, age 75, of New Prague, died suddenly on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at Mala Strana Care and Rehabilitation Center. Lois was born on November 13, 1944 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Louis and Elizabeth (Egnotyak) Ivan. Lois attended School #9 and was an assembly worker, living most of her life in New Jersey, until relocating to New Prague, Minnesota, in September 2011 with her sister and nephew. Lois was a fan of the arts. She enjoyed painting ceramics and paint-by-number. She loved embroidery and reading novels.
With his family at his side on April 9, 2020, John A. Halloran (age 95) died peacefully in the house he built on his farm in Belle Plaine Township. Due to the restrictions with the COVID~19 Virus, services will be private.
John was born to John P. and Grace (Schoell) Halloran on October 20, 1924 in Belle Plaine. He attended Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Grade School in Belle Plaine and New Prague High School, from which he graduated in 1942. After a farm deferment, he was drafted in Spring 1945 and served his country in Japan as an MP in the Occupation Forces.
Robert W. Vosejpka, age 81 of Owatonna, MN, formerly of rural Lonsdale died peacefully on March 31, 2020 at The Emeralds in Faribault, MN.
Robert was born May 6, 1938 in Forest Township, rural Lonsdale, MN to Frank A. and Rose (Barta) Vosejpka. He was the youngest of 4 children. He attended country school through 8th grade and later graduated from Northfield High School.
Patrick M. O’Malley, age 67, of New Prague, passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2020 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Pat was born on November 14, 1952 in New Prague. He was the son of Elzear and Edna (Kennedy) O’Malley of Le Center. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Le Center High School in 1970. After high school, he enlisted in the Navy. Pat married the love of his life, Bonnie Bastyr in 1982. They have one daughter, Kasey O’Malley. Pat worked on road construction for Progressive Contractors Inc. for 40 years.
Amanda D. Lake, age 27, of Mankato, died suddenly in her sleep, on Sunday, April 5, 2020. Amanda was born in Minneapolis, MN on July 27, 1992 to Daniel A.. and Doreen K. (Hanson) Lake. She grew up in New Prague and graduated from New Prague High School.
As she was in everything she did, Amanda was a joyful worker at Mankato Rehabilitation Center, Inc. (MRCI). She had an infectious zest for life; she exuded happiness and made friends wherever she went. She was an avid sports fan and loved all Minnesota teams, the Twins, Vikings, and the Wild.
Tuma, DeWayne Lee, of Crystal, passed away peacefully of stroke related complications while in hospice care at North Memorial Hospital Robbinsdale on March 21st, at the age of 81. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Deanna (Rotter); parents Thomas and Mathilda (Schlauderaff); sister Genevieve Nelson and brother in-law Curtis Nelson; brother Lloyd Tuma and sister-in-law Shirley (Johnson); sister Ardelle Tuma. He is survived by his daughters Susan (Dennis) Paulson and Michelle Tuma; beloved granddaughter Alexa Paulson; nieces and nephews.
Edna Mae Webster, age 95, of Owatonna, formerly of Waterville, died on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Traditions of Owatonna.
Donald W. “Fuzzy” Eilers, age 83, of New Prague, died peacefully with his loving wife at his side on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at his home. He died just shy of his 40th wedding anniversary. Don was born on January 19, 1937 in Lanesburgh Township, Le Sueur County to Edwin H. and Matilda L.
John R. Harty, age 69, of New Prague, died peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. John was born on August 28, 1950 in St. Paul, MN to Robert John and Sarah J. (Meyers) Harty. He attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, graduated from Edina High School and received his BA from the University of St. Thomas. John was teaching religion/German at St.
Arnold “Arnie” J. Horejsi, age 91, of Lonsdale, died Monday, March 23, 2020 at the Northfield Care Center. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being completed and will be announced by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.
Ermin Edward Wolf, age 80, of Jordan died peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2020, surrounded by his loving, devoted wife Jane and six children. Ermin was born July 13, 1939, to Raymond and Hildegard (Schloesser) Wolf in Jordan, Minnesota. He was raised in the St. Benedict area.
He learned the true meaning of hard work, growing up on the farm and working alongside his father. At age 18, his father passed and he took over the farm that has now been in the family for over a century. He continued to learn from his father-in-law Leonard Seifert.
Freda Joyce Wacker, age 78, of New Prague, died on Monday, February 24, 2020 Mayo Systems in Rochester.
Private family services will be held in West Virginia at a later date.
Freda was born on June 7, 1941 in Hollygrove, West Virginia to Frank and Viola (Hill) Swartz. Freda was united in marriage to Ronald Wacker January 11, 1964.
Freda enjoyed gardening, flowers, babysitting, cooking/ baking, traveling, and dog sitting.
Barbara Ellen Miller, age 81 of rural Belle Plaine died peacefully at home on March 21, 2020 surrounded by her loving, devoted husband Val and family after a courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was born September 20, 1938 to Lester and Helen (Dryer) Scholl in Salem, South Dakota and grew up near St. Peter, MN. She married the love her life, Val Miller on September 20, 1953 and for 66 wonderful years they were an inseparable team. It was rare to see one without the other.
