Anna Stangler of Kilkenny passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, surrounded by friends and loved ones at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Anna was born on July 11, 1985, in Mankato. She was the daughter of Richard and Pamela (Hinton) Fischer. Anna was a 2003 graduate of Waterville-Elysian-Morristown High School and a 2007 graduate of Minnesota State-Mankato. 

Myron Dennis Hohnstadt waltzed his way into heaven Friday, May 30, 2025.
Myron enjoyed old-time German music, dancing, traveling, reading and a good joke. In his younger days he frequented the ballrooms of southern Minnesota, where he met Laurie. He also met his second wife, Shirley, at a dance.
Myron was born July 13, 1931, to William “Bill” and Esther (Kuehn) Hohnstadt in New Ulm, Minnesota. The family moved to Elysian, Minnesota, in 1937, where he grew up. He graduated from Waterville High School in 1950.

Myron Dennis Hohnstadt, 93, died May 30, 2025, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Howard Lake, MN. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with a funeral to follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 5460 63rd Street NW in Maple Lake, MN.

Robert “Bobby” Judd, age 54, of Owatonna, MN, passed away May 27, 2025, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, following an illness.

Susie Ann (Krocak) Smisek, age 75, of Le Center, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
 Born on October 29, 1949, in New Prague, Susie was the beloved daughter of Louis and Adaline (Vlasak) Krocak. She attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Grade School and graduated from Montgomery High School. On October 12, 1968, she was united in marriage to John Smisek at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. After living in Mankato for a few years, the couple settled in Le Center, where they raised their family and built a loving home.

Eileen Leona Wabner, age 88, most recently of Mankato, MN, was called to her heavenly home on May 11, 2025, on Mother’s Day. Eileen was born on March 1, 1937, to parents Edwin and Hattie (Kelling) Schultz, of Waldorf, MN. She was baptized on March 28, 1937, and confirmed on May 13, 1951; her confirmation verse was Acts 4:12 which states “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Eileen grew up on the family farm helping her parents with various tasks and chores - such as helping feed the livestock.

Ralph Kern, age 77, of rural Waseca County, passed away on May 18, 2025, at MCHS-St. Mary’s in Rochester, surrounded by his family. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

Melvin “Butch” William Metzler, age 82, of Waseca, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Owatonna Hospital.

Joey Lynn (Godbey) Dominick, age 45, of Waterville, passed away April 28, 2025, surrounded by family.
Joey Dominick was born on August 18, 1979, in Oak Harbor, Washington. She graduated from Rosemount High School in 1998. She also received a degree from Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute in Minneapolis. 
Joey was loved by many in Waterville’s surrounding areas. She spent years as a bartender, serving those she cared about. She loved the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

Bernita Helena (Roemhildt) Knutson, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025, while surrounded by family at Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire, WI, at the age of 74.

Earnest William Fortner, age 68, of Waterville, died on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca. 

Janet Arlene Lillian (Krueger) Schmidtke, age 94, formerly of Waterville, died on the evening of Sunday, May 4, 2025, at The Willows of Arbor Lakes Memory Care in Maple Grove.

Bernita Roemhildt Knutson, of Sauk Rapids, MN, passed away Sunday, April 13. She is the daughter of Elmer and Irene Roemhildt of Elysian. 
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter “Bell” Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held two hours before the service.

Clarence “Harry” Bernard Harriman, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems - St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, MN. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, with a funeral service immediately following at 4 p.m. at Nasinec Funeral Home in Wells, MN. Richard Flanders, 81, of Calvin, ND, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, ND on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a Prayer Service and Time of Remembrance at 6 p.m. Funeral Services for Richard will be on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Langdon Presbyterian Church with fellowship to follow. Burial will be in the Corinthian Cemetery  rural Calvin at 3:30 p.m. 

Ralph Earl Dyer, age 95, of Waterville, formerly Elysian, died surrounded by his family on the afternoon of Monday, March 31, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System in St. James.
