Kicking off the main portion of Kolacky Days every year is the Queen's Pageant. This year six young ladies competed on Friday, July 25 and for many weeks prior to win one of the crowns and sashes but most notably to be the 2026 Kolacky Days Queen.

These are some of the scenes of this year's pageant.

It was an extremely hot day on Sunday, July 26 for the Kolacky Days Grand Day Parade with temperatures reaching in the upper 90's by parade time and dew point temperatures in the mid-to-upper 70's. This kept a few of the over 110 parade units from attending this day and announcer Larry Jindra and KCHK announcers scrambling in their lineup sheets.

One of the longest running Minnesota County Fairs is celebrating its 169th year next week.
The Le Sueur County Fair begins Thursday, August 20 at the fairgrounds in Le Center, and runs through Sunday, August 23. It is the last county fair before the Minnesota State Fair.
Every year the fair board approves improvements to the grounds and this year will be no different, with many new spruced up areas.

Montgomery Mallards 15, Shakopee Coyotes 5 (Five innings)
The postseason arrived in high fashion at Memorial Field on Sunday, Aug. 2 as the Montgomery Mallards unleashed a relentless 23-hit attack to claim a commanding 15-5 victory over Shakopee in game one of their best-of-three series.

To the editor and Montgomery,
There are moments in life when "thank you" simply doesn't seem like enough. As our family reflects on Neysa's journey, from serving as Montgomery's Kolacky Queen Ambassador to now having the incredible honor of representing our community as a 2026 Aquatennial Ambassador, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the people who have supported her every step of the way.

Hello again everyone:
I could not help but to rebuttal Danny O’Keefe’s reason for running.
He says he is level-headed. So why did you make a motion and vote yes to double the outlet ditch to drain Lexington Lake faster and way earlier than ever!?
He says he is very knowledgeable of county ditches. What you did to Lexington Lake is the reason for a potential and pending lawsuit against Le Sueur County.
He says he uses common sense approach. Is that why three other people are running against you?

Tri-City United Titan’s Head Coach Brian Miller said, “It was a great season for the TCU Titan 10AA Traveling Baseball team who capped off the season with earning a trip to the Minnesota Baseball Tournaments (MBT) State Tournament.”
Titans ended up ranked second for Region 2, with a 10-4-0 record, falling just behind the Chanhassen 10AA Gold team.
The state tournament was held in Savage and Burnsville from July 17-19. TCU played three games at the tournament, sadly they lost all three games but put up a strong fight.
