Helen Lucille Severns, ­­­­­­88, of Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. Visitation will be Friday, March 29 from 9am to 11am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am with Father George Grafsky officiating. Interment will be held at St. Michael Cemetery in rural Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to a Chemical Dependency- Depression/ Suicide program.

Thomas Dvorak, age 63, died February 27, 2019 after a long Parkinson’s illness. He was born July 30, 1955 to William and Theresa Dvorak. He graduated from New Prague High School. Thomas is survived by Leonard and Diane Hertaus-Pexa, New Prague, William and Mae Dvorak, Utah, Tom and Mary Kellen, North Carolina, Charles Dvorak, Bloomington, Ken Dvorak and special friend Barb, Kansas and Mark and Linda Dvorak, Le Center.
Thomas is preceded in death by Michael and LuAnn Dvorak of Montgomery.

Ervin “Junior” Turek, age 65 of Lonsdale, passed away with his wife and family by his side, on Wednesday afternoon, March 20, 2019, at the Northfield Hospital Long Term Care Center.

Rolland J. Chouinard of Webster passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 17, 2019.

Skluzacek, Ernest F., age 77 of Lonsdale, died peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Three Links Care center in Northfield.

Helen M. Javurek, age 101, of New Prague, died peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center.  Helen was born on August 16, 1917 in Wheatland Township, Rice County to Frank and Mary (Chromy) Shambour, Jr.  She attended Rice County district school and St. Wenceslaus Catholic School.  Helen married Stephen T.

Pauline Lucy Krenik, 92, of Lonsdale, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at her son’s home in Lonsdale. Visitations was held Monday, March 4 at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Wenceslaus Church in New Prague at 11am Tuesday, March 5 with Father Thomas Krenik officiating. 

Kalal, Elaine Mary, age 75 of Lakeville, passed away peacefully at her home March 9, 2019. Elaine was born on July 11, 1943 in Montgomery Township to Harold and Ludmilla (nee: Brezina) Kukacka. Elaine graduated from Montgomery High school and furthered her education in nursing school where she received her LPN. She married Francis KalaI on April 22, 1967 at Holy Redeemer Church in Montgomery. She then worked with Francis on the family farm. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, John Marek and Arnost Pavek; sister-in-law, Janet Kukacka.

Julianne H. Carpentier, age 96, of  New Market, died peacefully with her family present on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at the Northfield Hospital.  Julianne was born on July 25, 1922 in Jordan, MN to Guido and Lena (Lambrecht) Wermerskirchen.  She graduated from St. John the Baptist Elementary School and Jordan High School.  She was employed as a records file clerk for Minneapolis Honeywell for 4 ½ years during WWII.  Following the war, she married the love of her life, Roger A. “Carp” Carpentier on November 26, 1945 at St.

Donald F. “Donnie” Cervenka, age 67, of Webster, died suddenly after a brief illness on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Northfield Hospital.  Donnie was born on May 9, 1951 in New Prague to Myles F. and Helen J. (Blaha) Cervenka.  He graduated from New Prague High School and from Faribault Vo-Tech School in small engine mechanics.  Donnie married Janice H. Ryan on May 22, 1976 at St.

Heikes, David H., age 82 of Elko-New Market, passed away March 5, 2019. Preceded in death by parents, Herman and Carol, and brothers-in-law, Harvey Clark, Tom Petherbridge, Leigh Betts, Arnold Knutson, Bob Umbehocker. David is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Ellie (James) White, Connie (Jason) Risser, Bruce (Laurie), Dan, and Becky (Gordy) Hallstrom; 19 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren; siblings, Chuck, Larry, Margaret Umbehocker, Helen Clark, Charlotte Betts, Amy Billman and Shirley Knutson; also by other loving family and friends.

Arlene R. Pexa, age 78, of Chaska, formerly of New Prague, died suddenly on Saturday, March  2, 2019 at her home in Chaska.  Arlene was born on February 18, 1941 to Sylvester and Celestine “Sally” (Barten) Deutsch in New Prague.  She graduated from New Prague High School and attended Minneapolis Cosmetology School.  Arlene married Norman F. Pexa on May 2, 1964 at St.

Myron J. Eischens of New Prague, died peacefully at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine on Saturday, March 2, 2019.  He was born March 11, 1928 at the original New Prague Hospital.  He attended the elementary schools in St. Benedict and St. Wenceslaus and graduated from New Prague High School in 1946.  Myron worked for Continental Machine Inc. as a pattern maker for about 25 years prior to farming. Myron waited many years before he met the love of his life and  married Anna Albina Svoboda on May 29, 1974 at St.

Bonita Marie Tupy, age 54, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, March 1, 2019 at St. Gertrude’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in Shakopee.  Bonnie was born on September 30, 1964 in Shakopee to Lloyd A. and Carol L. (Pawelk) White.  Her parents were killed in a car accident when Bonnie was almost 4 and she was raised by her grandparents, Ed & Lillian White.   She graduated from New Prague High School in1983 and married Arnie Dale Tupy on August 11, 1984 at St.

Violet Anne Bachman, age 92, of New Prague, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on February 27, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital New Prague.  Vi was born January 21, 1927 near Princeton, Minnesota to Frank & Agnes (Fradette) Betzler.  She attended grade school at Swatara and high school in Hill City and Aitkin.  She met her future husband, Herschel F. Bachman on her 19th birthday at a dance in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.  They married on August 15, 1946 in Estherville, Iowa and began their life together in Minneapolis.
