Dave was born February 23, 1934 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Died July 3, 2021 in New Prague at home on hospice.
Robert F. Bastyr, age 78 of Jordan, died November 29, 2020, due to complications of Covid-19 at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis. A graveside service was held December 4, 2020 at St. Wenceslaus cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Wenceslaus Church on Saturday July 17th, at 11 am.
Reynold Schoenbauer died November 10, 2020 at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville Ohio, his death was due to Coronary Artery Disease.
He was born May 7, 1934 to parents Joseph L. and Helen Novotny Schoenbauer in New Prague, Le Sueur County, Minnesota.
His funeral was held November 16, 2020 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Westerville, Ohio with Interment to be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery in New Prague, MN, which will include a graveside service beginning at 10 AM and a Celebration of Life to follow at the KC Hall in New Prague, MN.
Martha Marie Kadrlik, 95, of Zumbrota, MN, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital.
Martha (Preslicka) Kadrlik was born on March 8, 1926, in Cedar Lake Township. Attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and New Prague High School. She married Myles Kadrlik in 1945, they resided in New Prague before moving to Rochester, MN in 1999. In 2018, she moved to Zumbrota Care Center.
Martha was an avid reader and fond of gardening, but above all cared for her family. She brought a smile to everyone who met her.
Linda Carol Solheim, age 72, of Minnetonka/Chanhassen, died peacefully with her husband at her side at her home on Monday, June 21, 2021. Linda was born on December 21, 1948 in Minneapolis to Harold and Esther (Torgerson) Petsch. She graduated from Bloomington Lincoln High School and went on to attain her Bachelor’s Degree in German from Hamline University.
Barbara Ann Shoenbauer was born on November 8th, 1932 in New Prague, Minnesota, to Clement and Luverne (Nolden) Mickus. Barbara was baptized and confirmed at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague, MN, and graduated from New Prague High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Clem Schoenbauer at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church on August 25th, 1956. Throughout her life, Barbara remained an active member of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic parish.
Margaret A. “Maggie” Knight, age 92, of New Prague, died peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Maggie was born on January 2, 1929 in Walhalla, North Dakota, to Felix Arthur and Stella (Halloran) Gastonguay. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Fargo and attended Minneapolis School of Business and attained a degree in Interior Design. She married Kenneth Knight, Jr. on January 24, 1949 at the Basilica of St.
Judith M. “Judie” Cervenka, age 77, of New Prague, died Thursday June 10, 2021 at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN surrounded by family.
Judie was born on November 28, 1943 in New Prague to Emil F. and Mary N. (Novak) Bisek. Judie graduated from St. Wenceslaus School and New Prague High School,
Judie married Daniel T. Cervenka on Sept. 9, 1961 at St. Wenceslaus Church in New Prague. The couple settled to raise their family at St. Patrick on the Cervenka farm.
William Finley Krouse, 77, of New Prague, MN, passed away suddenly on June 6, 2021.
Lawrence “Larry” Joseph Norton, age 87 of Springfield died peacefully on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the Valley View Manor in Lamberton.
Funeral service will be 12 pm on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-South Chapel in New Ulm. Pastor Brad Kuebler will officiate, and burial will take place at a later date. The New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard will provide full military honors at the funeral home at the conclusion of the service.

Jean was born on October 31, 1936 in New Prague to Peter and Lucy (Blesener) Schanus. She attended New Prague High School and married Francis L. “Fritz” Malecha on August 16, 1958 at St.
Michael J. Schumacher, age 24, of New Prague, died Sunday, May 30, 2021, after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Michael was born on June 12, 1996 in New Prague to Timothy and Kim (Born) Schumacher. He graduated from New Prague High School and went on to attain his Bachelor’s Degree from Bemidji State University. He worked as a production supervisor at Super Radiator Coils in Chaska. Michael married the love of his life, Melinda M.
Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Sticha, age 94, died Sunday May 30, 2021 at NC Little Hospice in Edina.
Betty was a bouncing baby girl, born to Ladimir and Anna (Donnelly) Benes on February 17, 1927, St. Patrick, Cedar Lake Township.
Theresa Marie Hinderscheit, age 81, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 3, from 4 to 7pm and Friday, June 4, from 8:30 to 9:30am at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 4, at 10am at St. John’s Catholic Church in Union Hill.
Marian Katherine Tuma, 93, of Le Center passed away peacefully on Monday, May 24 at the Carriage House in Le Center with her daughter by her side. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28 from 8 to 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
Marian was born in Rice County on November 11, 1927, to James and Mary (Kubes) Simon. She attended grade school at Holy Trinity School in Veseli and graduated from New Prague High School. After high school Marian worked at The Mill in New Prague.
