Patricia David, 75

Patricia David, age 75 of Northfield, passed away Sunday morning, February 24, 2019, at Three Links Care Center.
Survived by include her children, Jodi (Cliff) Shoutz of Chaska, Mark (Cassandra) David of Dundas, Lori Vosejpka of Northfield; 10 grandchildren; her sister, Janice Borgstahl of Faribault; and her brother, Roger Carpenter of Faribault.

James “Chester” Retka, 85

James “Chester” Retka, 85, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at his home in Montgomery. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery, visitation one hour prior at the funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Lexington. Military Honors will be provided by the Montgomery area Honor Guard.

Ella Jahn, 90

Ella R. Jahn, age 90, of New Prague, died peacefully on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Ella was born on November 21, 1928, in Lanesburgh Township, Le Sueur County, MN to Frank J. and Rose (Panek) Dietz. She attended country district school and graduated from New Prague High School. She married Harold C.

Kathy Tiede, 73

Kathleen Margaret Tiede, 73, of Montgomery, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at her home in Montgomery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
Kathy was born on November 25, 1945, in St Peter to Claire and Frances (Simonette) Thomas. Kathy attended Cleveland High School.

Robert C. Kucera, 93

Kucera, Robert C. , age 93 of Bloomington, MN, passed away peacefully January 30, 2019. Robert was born April 7, 1925 in Montgomery, Minnesota. He attended the Immaculate Conception High School in Lonsdale and then pursued undergraduate studies at the College of St. Thomas where he received degrees in business administration and economics in 1948.  Bob continued his education at the St. Paul College of Law graduating in 1952. He served three years in the U.S. Air Force during World War II including service in Guam and the Philippines.

Harry Dietz, 96

Harry Dietz, age 96, of New Prague, died peacefully on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center. Harry was born on January 30, 1923 in Lanesburgh Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota to Frank J. and Rose (Panek) Dietz. He graduated from New Prague High School. In his early years he worked at the mill in Montgomery and as a mechanic for Jimmy Rutt’s garage. He married Leota Busta on October 15, 1945. He spent his life as a farmer, who valued conservation of both the soil in his farming practices and wildlife.

Celeste T. Preble, 87

Celeste T. Preble, 87, of Lonsdale, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Villages of Lonsdale. Visitation will be Friday, February 8 from 10am to 11am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11am with Father Victor Valencia officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Moments Hospice.

Terrance Francis David, Sr., 78

Terrance Francis David, Sr., 78, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at his home. 
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery with funeral services following at noon also at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Montgomery in spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials donated to a children’s charity of their preference.

Gladys D. Beinhorn, 81

Gladys D. Beinhorn, age 81, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.  Gladys was born March 13, 1937 in New Prague to Erwin H.

Lucille Heyda, 90

Lucille Heyda, 90, of Shakopee, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019.
Lucille was born on June 11, 1928, in Montgomery, MN, the daughter of Rudolph and Christina (Holey) Shetka. Her husband was William Heyda, Sr.
The things Lucille enjoyed most were gardening and canning the fruits and vegetables that she nurtured through the summer months. She loved cooking and collecting recipes.
