On December 26, 2023, Sandra Ann (Jakes) Sticha, 71, passed away at her home in Florida. Sandy was born September 8, 1952, in New Prague, Minnesota, to Marvin and Irene (Spoor) Jakes.
Sandy is survived by her two children; Daniel (Roni) Jakes of Florida and Jill (Katie Bastyr) Sticha of Montgomery, MN. Sandy has four grandchildren, Cora, Jeremiah, Danielle, and Joshua and 8 (soon 9) great-grandchildren.
Sandy is survived by four brothers; Marvin Jr. (Mary) Jakes of Montgomery, David (Cindy) Jakes of Montgomery, Steve Jakes of North Dakota, and Ken Jakes of Montgomery, along with several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and -nephews and cousins.
Sandy graduated in 1970 from Montgomery, MN, and worked many years in group homes always helping others.
Sandy enjoyed spending time with family, especially camping, fishing, and playing cards along with gardening and always had a home full of beautiful plants. Sandy has lived the past couple years in Florida and before that she called Faribault, MN, and Montgomery, MN, home.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
