Nancy Vollmar, 83, of Montgomery passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at The Lodges in Elko. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13 from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Montgomery.
Helen E. Meger, age 80, of rural Le Center, Minnesota passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on May 5, 2019 at the Central Health Care in Le Center, Minnesota.
Helen was born on June 9, 1938 in Spooner, Wisconsin. She worked at Indianhead Café in Spooner and after graduating from Spooner High School in 1961, she moved to Wausau, Wisconsin. Four years later she moved to Minnesota.
After moving to the New Prague, Le Center area, she worked at Munsingwear for 22 years.
She was married to Robert Meger on November 25, 1961. They lived at the farmhouse since then.
Delores M. Sande, age 88 of Faribault, died on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault.
Funeral services will be held at First English Lutheran Church, Faribault on Friday, May 10, 2019, at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Janet White officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.
Visitation will be at the church for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Dave Velishek, of Prior Lake, passed away May 2, 2019 at the age of 75. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:30 – 10:45 AM. All services will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Prior Lake. Father Tom Walker will preside, and Dave’s grandchildren will act as pallbearers. Dave will be laid to rest at Credit River Cemetery with military honors provided by the Prior Lake Honor Guard.
Mary Kerkow, 85, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Monday evening, April 29, 2019, at Oak Terrace Senior Living, in Jordan, MN.
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, May 4 at 11 a.m., with a visitation two hours prior, at St John Lutheran Church, 105 Spruce Avenue NW, Montgomery. Pastor Jason Pollington will preside. Acting as pallbearers will be Mary’s grandchildren. She will be laid to rest next to her son at Spirit Hill Cemetery, Jordan.
Irma Emma Kohout, 95, of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Private family services will be held. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.
Irma was born on January 1, 1924 in Rice County to William and Anna (Hanek) Turek. Irma was united in marriage to Edward Filipek on February 12, 1941, and to Edward Kohout on May 4, 1973.
Kenneth James “Ken” Pasek, age 64, of Montgomery, died Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at his residence in Montgomery. Ken was born on April 18, 1955 in New Prague to James C. and Alice Marie (Kroyer) Pasek. He grew up in New Prague and graduated from New Prague High School. During high school, he worked for Bilek Bakery and immediately after high school, he began work at the flour mill and worked there until 2011. Ken loved music, movies, and show cars.
Joseph “Joe” William Schatz, 70, of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at his home. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center, with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Lexington.
Joe was born on April 8, 1949, in Faribault to Joseph and Marian Katherine (Stasney) Schatz. Joe was a graduate of Montgomery High School and Austin Jr. College.
Richard Robert Meger, 89, of rural Le Center, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 27, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Union Hill with visitation two hours prior at church. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donors choice.
Loren F. Tuttle, 75, of Montgomery, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Mankato.
Loren was born on May 13, 1943, in Blue Earth, Minnesota to Floyd and Dorothy (Runke) Tuttle. He graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1961 and attended college at Mankato State University. On July 28, 1962, he married Judith Classon.
He worked as an accountant for Green Giant, Viking Woodcraft and KGP. After retirement, he worked part time for Fred’s IGA.
Alois James Prochaska, 86, of Heidelberg, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Oak Terrace in Jordan. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Heidelberg, with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be in St. Scholastica Cemetery in Heidelberg. Military Honors will be provided by the Montgomery area Honor Guard.
Gregory Robert Jones, 67, of Golden Valley passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave. Edina, MN.
Greg was born on October 7, 1951, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Robert D. and Eugenia B. Jones. He graduated from Montgomery-Lonsdale High School and received his BS in Business from the University of Minnesota. He spent his career as a programmer analyst working for Control Data, Carlson Co. and Medtronic.

Earl Walter was born on July 5, 1927, on his family’s farm in McGregor, Iowa to Carl and Marguerite (Zahn) Miller. He graduated from McGregor High School with the class of 1944.
