Garry LeRoy Quance, 78, of Montgomery, died on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at his home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. also at the funeral home.
Garry was born on September 16, 1939, in Staples, MN to Glen and Edith (Klos) Quance. Garry was a Staples High School graduate of the Class of 1957.
Garry was united in marriage to Gloria Reins on October 5, 1968, at Fort Snelling. He worked as a sales representative and also owned Pla Mor Lanes for seven years from 1968 – 1975.
“Quancey” loved the Montgomery Mallards baseball organization, and organized the Kolacky Days softball tournament for many years. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, traveling, and was a devoted husband, father, and friend.
Garry is survived by his wife, Gloria Quance of Montgomery; children, Micki Quance (Tracy) Main of Los Angeles, CA, Debra (Scott) Olson of the Twin Cities, and Barb Khosti, of the Twin Cities; siblings, Kay Doepner, Pam Harris, Jody Quance, and Pat Quance.
Garry is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Quance; and two sons, Brian and David Quance.
