Taylor signs to play football at MSU-Mankato

Just a few months after leading the WEM football team to the Class AA State Football Tournament and a Section 2AA Championship, senior Talen Taylor signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Minnesota State University - Mankato.

Taylor signed his contract during a special gathering of coaches, family, and members of the WEM senior class Wednesday, Feb. 4.

He will be a preferred walk-on, which means he will have a guaranteed spot on the roster. He will not have to make the team but will have to impress the coaches in order to receive playing time. 90 percent of incoming freshmen are red-shirted and do not play their first season.
