Medical examiner determines man's death was 'homicide'

Investigators have determined the case of a deceased man found in the driveway of a house at 11450 275th St. E. in New Market Township last fall is a homicide.
According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Jose Manuel Rosales Madrigal, 18, was killed in what the medical examiner’s office has deemed “complex homicidal violence.”
Sheriff’s deputies and police were dispatched to the house in New Market Township at 7:50 a.m. Oct. 7, 2022.
Investigators with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office have been working for months to determine the identity of the Rosales Madrigal. The office released the information Tuesday, Feb. 14.
Scott County Sheriff Luke Hennen said investigators from his office have been working on the case for months trying to determine who is responsible for Rosales Madrigal’s death.
“I also appreciate the patience of our community and want to assure them that nothing in the investigation leads us to believe there is a threat to the public. Our investigators believe this is an isolated incident and not a random act,” he added.
