Jeffrey Kyle Holland, 60

Heaven handed out another pair of Angel Wings.  Jeffrey Kyle Holland of New Prague passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the age of 60 at home with his loving wife by his side.  Jeff  was born on February 24, 1962 to Conrad and Davonna (Rozell) Holland in Aberdeen, SD.  He lived most of his childhood years in Redfield, SD and graduated from Redfield High School.  Jeff worked for Spring Green Lawn Care for many years.  He enjoyed making his lawn look impeccable.  He also worked at Mahowald Motors car dealership as a Service Manager.

Jeff married the love of his life, Carol Spinler on September 2, 2006.  Jeff and Carol had a very loving relationship for 16 short years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and many grandchildren.  He enjoyed reading and had an impressive collection of presidential books.  His knowledge of all the presidents of the United States was vast and inclusive of many aspects of their lives.  He was a man of many interests.  He was a member of a bowling league in Redfield and also served as an EMS on the Redfield ambulance service.  Having been a boy scout himself, he served as a leader when his own sons joined the scouts.  He was an ultimate Star Trek fan and an even more avid life long fan of his beloved Packers.  He had a “Packer room” at home and could be seen frequently sporting Packer hats and clothing.  Any other spare time found him fishing and especially enjoying a woodworking hobby where he made toy boxes.  He sold a few of these but gave most of them as gifts to his grandchildren and best friend.  He cheated death many times with his determination to go on his own terms.  That strength of will and his ready smile and gentle presence will be missed by all who knew him.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Carol of New Prague; daughter, Samantha Garrison of Redfield, SD; sons, Charlie Holland of Henderson, NV, Austin (Grace) Pagel of Le Sueur, Logan Holland of Le Center, Daniel Saunders (fiancé, Elaina) of New Prague; grandchildren, Tyler, Piper, and Thomas Garrison, Ali Olson, Dallas, Ensley, and Tatum Saunders, River and Marlee Pagel; sisters, Cathy (Tom) Deutch of Amery, WI, Patty Smith of Sioux Falls, SD, Sarah (Travis) Hurd of Navarre, FL; brother, Jason (Nicole) Holland of Havana, FL; parents-in-law, Tom & Ruth Spinler of New Prague; brothers- & sisters-in-law, Paul Spinler of Montgomery, Jim (Stacy) Spinler of New Prague, Sue Spinler (fiancé, Terry) of Lakeville, Shirley Spinler of New Prague, Tony Spinler of New Prague; best friend, Todd Farnham of Yankton, SD; many nieces & nephews and many other friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jon Holland and Nickolai & Deborah (both in infancy); brother-in-law, Mark Smith.
