Francis “Fritz” Lambrecht, 82

Francis “Fritz” Lambrecht, age 82, of rural Henderson, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Ridgeview Sibley Medical Center in Arlington. Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 9, at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Fr. Chris Shoffner will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at church on Friday morning. Military Rites will immediately follow the service in front of the church, followed by a luncheon in the church social hall. Interment will be at a later date.

Fritz was born in New Prague on December 24, 1941, to Elmer and Bernice (Serbousek) Lambrecht. He grew up on the family farm near New Prague and graduated from New Prague High School. He serviced in the Army 328th Ordinance. Fritz worked in construction and was a member of the Forty Niners Union. Most of his years were spent with Chard Tiling and Excavating where he helped build numerous golf courses. On January 15, 2000, he married Anita Landers. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, and traveling. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Billy.

Fritz is survived by his loving wife, Anita, children, Susie (Ron) Gregory, Candace (Tom) Sanchez & Dallas (Theresa) Lambrecht; grandchildren, Sam & Josh Gregory, Steele Sanchez & Austin Lambrecht; siblings, Mary (Dave) Lax, Therese (Donald) Hlavac, Margaret Jacobson, Martha Boman, Pauline Lambrecht, Virginia Knauer, Elmer (Vicky) Lambrecht; stepchildren, Kimberley (Jack) Harris, Lora (Scott) Harper, Jill Hager (Robert), William Hager (Adeena); eleven step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren.
