Constance Stuewe, 65

Constance Stuewe, 65, of Belle Plaine, passed away on November 12, 2023, in Shakopee, MN, surrounded by her family. A mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 AM on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. The visitation will be the evening prior on Sunday, November 19, from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine.  Fr. Michael Kaluza will officiate.  Burial will be in the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Connie was born on February 25, 1958 to Joseph and Thelma (Brooks) Ott in New Prague, MN. She grew up in Belle Plaine and graduated from Belle Plaine High School. Connie married Lee Stuewe on August 21, 1976, in Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Belle Plaine.

For 45 years she ran a day care in her home. She worked with countless families and took great pride in providing guidance and a caring home for each of the children and families she served. She retired on March 3, 2023. Her family and especially her children and grandchildren were at the center of her heart, providing support, sharing encouragement, attending events, and always acknowledging any accomplishment or event in their lives. Her steadfast presence in each of their lives will be dearly missed.  Extended weekend excursions with her husband, who was the love of her life, were adventures she really enjoyed. In more recent years cruising in their 1955 Chevy together was a great source of fun.  She was genuinely curious about the different vintage cars they would see, learning new things and meeting new friends along the way.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Lee of Belle Plaine; children, Dana (Ryan) Klein of New Prague, Luke (Jess) Stuewe of Detroit Lakes, Mike (Ashley Steele) Stuewe of Belle Plaine, Anna (Travis) Roach of Waterville; grandchildren, Jadyn, Avery and Kyla Klein, Emmett and Ethan Stuewe, Julissa Stuewe and Jadyn Steele; siblings, Joe (Martha) Ott, Patti Ott, Bob (Maureen) Ott and Kathy Baynes and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents.
