Busch stepping down from Legion board of directors
The beginning of December brings a change as Paul Busch will be stepping down from the New Prague American Legion’s board of directors. He estimated he has served on the board for 12 years.
A Vietnam veteran who served from 1968- 1969, he was a specialist four in the Army and was in an artillery unit. Busch said he served at three bases; Phu Bai, Camp Evans, an Air Force air strip, and Dong Ha.
As a member of the board of directors Busch has been in charge of booking events at the Park Ballroom for nearly 10 years. With that job Busch is passing the torch to Kristi Nelson, currently the kitchen manager at the event center.
