Brian C. Davis, 59
Brian C. Davis, 59, of St. Paul, and formerly of Chaska and New Prague, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 6, 2023.
Brian was born in Ames, IA, on December 24, 1963, to Earle and Della Davis. Shortly thereafter, the family relocated to Minnesota, where he was raised on a small farm near Union Hill and attended school in New Prague.
For many years, Brian was a hard-working semi-truck driver. He owned and operated his own Mack truck in Chaska, and his driving experience took him across the country. He could always be found somewhere on the CB, under the handle “Gear Jammer.”
He was an avid musician who enjoyed playing bass and rhythm guitar with friends and family. He was very passionate about music, from rock ‘n roll to country, blues, bluegrass, and more.
Brian was mechanically inclined and talented. He could often be found tinkering with electronics, repairing guitars, and working on vehicles. In the rare event he didn’t know how to fix something, his tenacity kept him focused until the solution presented itself.
He will be best remembered for his big heart, cheerful, witty sense of humor, and his ability to make others laugh.
He is survived by his mother, Della, of Minnetonka, seven brothers and sisters (Karel, Rick, Lonny, Debbie, Brenda, Janine, and Jeff), 15 nieces and nephews, and 22 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earle.
A celebration of life will be held in December.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Al-Anon Family Groups.
