Timothy Bolton, 62

Timothy Bolton, age 62, of Montgomery, died surrounded by family at Mayo Clinic Systems, New Prague on Nov. 10, 2023. He was born Nov. 16, 1960, in Mankato to Harvey and Trulie Bolton.  

 Tim enjoyed working on cars in his younger years, often making them as fast as he could.

 Tim graduated from Mankato West High School in 1979. He married his first wife Becky a few years later.  

 They moved to Colorado in 1989. There, he fell in love with the mountains, enjoyed taking his family up jeep trails with friends, dirt biking and hunting.

 Tim eventually moved with his three children back to Minnesota to be closer to family. Tim later met the love of his life, Katie, in 2001. They married in 2002 and had one son, Jay.

 He always helped his children pursue their passions, whether it was horseback riding, skateboarding or hockey. Tim loved a good story, an abnormally large cup of coffee and time with family and friends.

Tim’s family will host a celebration of his life at Revival on Main in Montgomery, MN, Nov. 19 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. In honor of Tim, please come in casual attire. Food and refreshments will be available. 

 Tim is survived by his wife Katie Bolton of Montgomery, son Andy Bolton of Lonsdale, daughter Nikki (Dennis) Kowalczyk of Shakopee, son Aaron (Nellie) Bolton of Columbia Falls, MT, son Jay Bolton of Montgomery, granddaughter Olivia Bolton of Lonsdale, soon-to-be-born grandson Kowalczyk, mother Trulie Bolton of Mankato, sister Sandy Austin of Prior Lake, first wife Becky Guadagnoli of Shakopee, father-in-law Ed Blumhoefer, sisters-in-law Mary Rose Blumhoefer, Patty (Mike) Molitor, Jodi Blumhoefer and brother-in-law Nathan (Mary) Ebert and many nieces and nephews. 

 He is preceded in death by his father Harvey Bolton, sister Tammy Ebert and mother-in-law Mary Jo Blumhoefer.
