Dorothy Jean Ruth Pumper-Filipek, age 95, of Le Center, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024. A private family graveside service was held.

Dorothy Jean Ruth Pumper-Filipek was born October 9, 1928, in Montgomery, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Elmer and Anna (Wondra) Moll. Dorothy was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth both in Montgomery, Minnesota. She received her education in Montgomery and graduated with the Montgomery High School class of 1946.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Myles S. Pumper on April 9, 1947, at the Lutheran Church in Montgomery, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Montgomery, Minnesota, and later moved to Le Center, Minnesota. Dorothy and Myles shared over 34 years together when Myles passed away on May 6, 1981.
Dorothy was employed as an assistant to the Recorder of Deeds which happened to be her husband, Myles, at the Le Sueur County Courthouse. She retired at the age of 61. Dorothy was an active member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Le Center for a number of years and sang with the church choir. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Le Center.
Dorothy enjoyed playing the piano and the organ. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and talking with friends and family on the phone. Dorothy also enjoyed sewing and quilting with her church quilting club.
Dorothy passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 95 years old. Blessed be her memory.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Susan Pumper of Quad Cities, Illinois; granddaughter, Tabatha Kubista of Lester Prairie, MN; great-granddaughter, Alexis Kubista of Lester Prairie, MN; and other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Anna Moll; husband, Myles Pumper; son, James Pumper; and aunt, Lydia Skelly.
