Barbara J (Lind) Jongeling, 70

Barbara J. (Lind) Jongeling passed away at the age of 70, on Dec. 26, 2024.

She left behind her husband Kevin Jongeling from Spencer, Iowa; brother Harold (Charlie) Lind and wife Sandra from New Prague, and sister Nancy (Lind) Drum & Bob from Ruthven, Iowa. She had many nieces & nephews.

Barbara was born in New Prague at Queen of Peace (Mayo) to late Harold and Ruth Lind. She graduated from Montgomery High School, going on to MN Southwest U and graduating with her degree in teaching. Then she went to Bertha, MN and taught, before returning and working as service manager for C Lind Ford. Next Barb moved to Fergus Falls where she met her love of her life & married Kevin Jongeling. Barb worked for Ottertail County until she retired. When Kevin retired from the Ford dealership, they moved to Sioux Falls.

 A couple of years later, she slowly had health problems that became worse over time and a care facility was necessary. One was found in Ruthven, Iowa, that could care for her until she went to hospice where she passed away.

Barbara loved to play games, like cards, dominos, and more. She was a great cook and loved to can fruit and vegetables in her earlier days with Kevin helping a lot. She enjoyed going to eat with her friends at different restaurants.

Celebration of Life for the public will be April 19, 2025, from 1 until 3 p.m. at 24786 Cedar Point Road, New Prague, MN 56071.
