Child found, Amber Alert Canceled.

Missing Lakeville boy Leon Ramsarran. Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension photo.

The Amber Alert for Leon is canceled. The child has been found safe. Below is the message from the City of Lakeville.

Earlier today, the Lakeville Police Department and Minnesota BCA sent out an Amber Alert on a missing child. The 3-year-old child, Leon Joachim Ramsarran, date of birth 05-31-2019, was located a short time ago and is safe.

Lakeville Police were able to determine that he was taken from the apartment by an adult family member. The child’s father had called police as this exchange was unplanned and there was concern for the welfare of the child. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated and it’s unclear at this time if criminal charges will be filed.

Thank you to everyone that contacted the Lakeville Police Department with information."
