TCU dominates Waseca and Cleveland
A couple of eight-run innings helped the TCU Softball Team create a winning streak last week against Cleveland on May 18 and Waseca on May 20. The two wins put the
Titans’ record at 9-8.
Titan Coach Kelly Jo Closser said the wins are a result of the girls’ hard work.
“The girls have been working really hard in practices, and it is showing. I think we have found our groove as a team. The girls set goals for themselves before every game and we talk about them right before the game begins which was implemented about six or seven games into the season,” the coach said. “We really focus on picking each other up and working as a one-unit team. We recognize those game-changing plays, win or lose. We have family talks as a whole team, Varsity & B-
Squad together. I saw the turning point once when the girls started recognizing and calling themselves a family.”
