Seven Lady Bucs receive State honors

Seven WEM senior basketball players have received State honors following their 2020-21 season.

Brielle Bartelt, Lindsay Condon, Kylie Pittmann, Ellie Ready, Toryn Richards, Allison Rients, and Autumn Taylor were each honored by the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association.

Bartelt and Richards were named to the Class A All-State Honorable Mention Team for the second straight season.

“Obviously well deserved recognition for Brielle and Toryn. They’ve both had fantastic careers and have clearly been among the best players in our class,” WEM head coach Ty Kaus said. “Toryn has taken it to a new level this year and has really had a consistently strong season. She has set new career highs for points, rebounds, and assists per game while upping her shooting percentages from 2s, 3s, and her FTs. Brielle has had yet another strong season for us this year. There are things that she can do on the floor that not many people are able to do. She’s had some really nice games and hit big shots in big moments her whole career. They’ve put a lot of work in and it has certainly paid off.”
