Outdoor history exhibit coming to Waterville

There is a long list of historical people and events in the City of Waterville.

Local artist and historian Jeff Jarvis will be bringing some of these historic events and people to life with an outdoor historic exhibit which will be featured on the outside walls of the Waterville City hall.

“Judging by the creation of the Waterville Arts & Recreation Council and the colorful mural painted on the Make It, Waterville building, a wave of energy seems to be rising in the city,” Jarvis said in his proposal presented to the Waterville City Council earlier this month. “It is wonderful to see the group spirit and I am looking forward to seeing what comes of it.”

The proposal includes stories and photographs about historic Waterville, its downtown buildings, pioneer businesses, recreation, artists, and notable people who have lived there.
