Norma M. Byron, 99

Norma M. Byron, age 99, formerly of Faribault, died on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Central Health Care, Le Center.

Funeral services will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Faribault, on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Kira Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Sakatah Cemetery, Waterville.

Visitation will be at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and at church for one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Norma M., the daughter of Albert and Celia (Hermel) Stoering, was born July 31, 1925, in St. Peter. They lived in Kilkenny and she graduated from Waterville High School in 1943. Norma married Louis Hollinger in 1944 and he passed away in 1971. She married John Bryon in 1976 and he preceded her in 1986. Later, she married Belton Russell in 1997 and he passed in 2012. During her working career, she worked at the State Hospital, St. Lucas Care Center, and Hardees, all in Faribault. She also spent many hours volunteering for hospice, church, the Eagles and St. Lucas, where she was volunteer of the year. Norma was a member of Our Savior’s Lamplighters, Faribault Eagles Auxiliary and St. Lucas Care Center Auxiliary. She lived in her house in Faribault until age 96 before moving to Traditions in Waterville for 3 ½ years and finally Central Health Care since February.

She is survived by her daughter, Cis (Ron) Marsh; daughter-in-law, Rox Hollinger (Gary Jewison); grandchildren, Brett (Jill) Christianson, Heidi (Matt) Hartman, Josh Hollinger, Cody Hollinger; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Stella, Kaci, Luke, Kennedi, Ian, Kissy, Theo; many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; son, Jon Hollinger; sister, Donna Pittman; nephew, Brad Pittman.

The family wishes to thank Visiting Angels, Traditions of Waterville, Central Health Care and St. Croix Hospice for their excellent care. Also, a big thank you to the Shuda Family and Betty & Vivian for all you did for mom.
