Meskan is named hospital CEO

Morristown native Paula (Schwichtenberg) Meskan has been named the CEO of River’s Edge Hospital and Clinic in St. Peter.

The 1987 Morristown High School grad earned her four-year Bachelor of Nursing Degree from the College of St. Catherine.

“I took my first job at the Faribault Regional Treatment Center where I was lead RN,” Meskan shared. “After a couple years there, I started working at a group home in Waterville as a nurse doing healthcare monitoring and programming. I wore a lot of different hats… Honestly, I never saw myself working in a hospital at that time, but things change. I’m so happy to be where I am now.”

After years working in the group-home setting, Meskan accepted a labor, delivery, and pediatric nurse position at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato.

“It was my first experience working in a hospital and I loved it—especially the labor and delivery part,” she stated.

From there, Meskan advanced to become the Director of Women’s and Children’s Services at Immanuel St. Joesph’s and served in the position for almost six years.
