Jill Lynn Roemhildt, 56
Jill Lynn Roemhildt, age 56 formerly of Elysian died on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in Maple Grove, MN.
Born on May 3, 1967, in Mankato, Minnesota, Jill was the daughter of James and Barbara (Krenik) Roemhildt. She graduated from Waterville-Elysian High School in 1985. During high school, Jill worked as a lifeguard at the Elysian Beach and at the Mini Mall and Pit Stop in Elysian. She went on to attend Mankato State University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. Following her education, she joined Americorps where she worked with Habitat for Humanity for one year. In 1991, Jill was united in marriage to Peter Nusbaum and they later divorced. They moved to Hammond, Wisconsin where she taught 5th grade and Pre-K in the area for many years and was loved and respected by both parents and students.
Jill is survived by her parents, Jim and Barb Roemhildt of Waterville; two sisters, Kari Dorenkemper of Dallas, TX and Kelly (Darrell) Haag of Morristown; nieces and nephews, Brittani Olds and her daughter Olivia, Kylie Dorenkemper, Kallen Dorenkemper, Riley Haag, and Julia Haag; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Julie Roemhildt; grandparents; one aunt and uncles.
Private interment will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian at a later date.
