Man injured during drive-by shooting on Main Street

An 18-year-old male faces two felony charges for allegedly shooting a man with a BB gun during a drive-by on Main Street, Waterville, in the early morning hours of June 30.
According to court documents, Hunter Storm Kleeberger, 18, who does not have a permanent address, shot a man twice in the arm with a CO2 charged BB air gun while driving through town.
Kleeberger and the victim, who told police he had been outside smoking when Kleeberger drove by, reportedly had a verbal confrontation prior to the shooting.
The victim was shot twice in his left arm. According to the report, the BBs in his arm will need to be surgically removed.
Kleeberger was arrested and reportedly admitted to shooting the victim and told police where he stashed the gun. An officer located the still-loaded BB gun on school property, wedged between a portable toilet and fence.
Officers interviewed several witnesses. One witness showed officers a video recording of the incident from which an officer heard seven shots fired.
Kleeberger was charged with felony drive-by shooting, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years imprisonment and / or a $20,000 fine, and felony assault with a dangerous weapon, which carries a maximum sentence of 7 years imprisonment and / or a $14,000 fine.
