Ludmilla R. Bruzek, 91

Ludmilla R. Bruzek, age 91, of New Prague, died peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center.

Ludy was born on September 17, 1928 in New Prague to Frank and Mary C. (Lexa) Hadac, Sr. She graduated from New Prague High School and shortly after, married Raymond Bruzek on June 15, 1948 at St. Wenceslaus Church in New Prague. Ludy was a homemaker primarily but also worked outside her home for Jasan Sewing and as a bartender for Cihlar’s Bar. She thoroughly enjoyed fishing with Ray before his death in 2011 and was an avid reader. She enjoyed gardening and mushroom picking throughout her life. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy and she will be most notably remembered for her creamed cheese banana bread and her raised donuts. Ludy is survived by her children, Chuck (Joan) Bruzek of Prior Lake, Diane (Larry) Smith of New Prague, Ron (Betty) Bruzek of New Prague, Donna (Lee) Church of New Prague; sister-in-law, Marion Hadac of New Prague; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray on July 30, 2011; grandson, Brandon Bruzek; 6 brothers 4 sisters.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home with Father Mike Miller officiating. Visitation will take place 2 hours prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will occur at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery followed by lunch at the KC Hall.
