The Wright County Conference East Division season ended Friday, Feb. 28 with a 70-65 loss to Delano. The Tigers had a 22-4 overall record.
Senior Parker Johnson highlighted the final regular season game by scoring his 1,000th career point.

“Parker scored his 1,000th point on a three-point shot in the first half,” New Prague head coach Dan Peterka said. “This is a great accomplishment earned because of his hard work.”

In the loss to Chaska, the Trojans played a solid first half, trailing by only five, 29-24.

“We played a strong first half and were able to hang in with a very good team,” Peterka said. “Their size and athleticism got to us in the second half and they were able to build a lead. Our effort was strong but we just didn’t score well enough in the second half.”

Johnson led the team in scoring with 21 points. Thomas Eckstein added seven points and Eric Bixby chipped in four points.
