Farmhouse Market opens 2-room inn above Main Street store

Farmhouse Market owners Paul and Kendra Rasmusson, have opened a two-bedroom inn above their store at 120 West Main Street.

Featuring top-notch finishes designed to encourage out-of-towners to visit New Prague for longer than just a day trip, the inn houses two rooms, each with their own bathroom, and a shared common space. The inn can be rented by the individual room or as a 2-bedroom suite.

The Rasmussons couldn’t ignore the rich history of the building and community when constructing the inn. The building was originally owned by brothers Alex and Felix Jelinek, who together had a barbershop on the main floor. The two inn rooms now don those same names “Alex” and “Felix”. The building’s second floor was also once the first telephone exchange for the city of New Prague, so inn guests will see historic photos and antiques that pay tribute to that rich history.
