Carol J. Tupy, 72

Carol Tupy, age 72, of New Prague, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at her home on July 16, 2021. Even though she struggled with Rheumatoid Arthritis for the past several years, that never affected the smile on her face and her desire to spend time with family and friends. Carol was born on January 24, 1949 to Frank and Mayme Simon. After graduating from New Prague High School, Carol married Myron Tupy at St. Wenceslaus Church September 9, 1967. The couple settled on the Tupy Family homestead to raise their five children.

Carol was a caring mother, who was a homemaker before becoming employed as a waitress at Schumacher’s Hotel, a cook at New Prague Schools, a Farrowing House Manager at Bartusek Farms, a cabinet assembler at Merrilat and she retired in 2012 at Menasha Packaging in Lakeville. Throughout her time working outside of the home she really enjoyed the people that she worked with and developed lifelong friendships. She loved attending bible study and growing closer to God. Her faith and desire led her to volunteer at Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life and the New Prague Hospital. She was an active member within her community.

Her passions included gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, and searching for morel mushrooms. She was very creative and made heirloom items out of wood for her family and crocheted beautiful blankets for her grandchildren. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed by her family.

Carol is survived by husband, Myron; children, Sandy (Kevin) Schiprett, Debbie (Dan) Krueger, Dorene (Paul) Eberle, Terri (Marty) Hennen, John (Heather) Tupy; grandchildren, Angie Spear, Tyrone (Tiffany) Tupy, Danielle Krueger, Jake Krueger, Ryan Albien, Terry Krueger, Shawna Krueger, Kaycee America, Zachariah Eberle, Nathaniel Eberle, Maxwell Hennen, Madison Hennen, Addyline Tupy, Zoey Tupy; great-grandchildren, Amira, Taltson, Savannah, Jaxon, Elijah, Elayjah, Kaylani, Avry, & Eleanor; siblings, Frank (Bev) Simon, Marlene (Ray) Simon, Lori (Larry) Majerus, Luanne Simon (Doug Shepherd).
