Honorees kick off Torchlight Parade

As in past years, the junior royalty and button designer of the annual Torchlight Parade and Fireworks have had prominent positions in Montgomery’s winter parade. On Thursday, Nov. 29, grand marshals Ty Wohlers and Eydie Fleek, and button designer, Max Budin climbed aboard a specially designed float and, after the Montgomery Color Guard, started the lineup of around 50 entries that filled the event. After about 45 minutes, when a Montgomery fire truck carrying a Santa Claus, signaled of the parade’s end, people gathered at First Street South for the fireworks finale.
