Girls take 2nd; boys 3rd at indoor meet
Even though the spring weather has been unfavorable for outside track and field meets, the TCU Titans had a second week of competition at the Minnesota River Conference Indoor Meet at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
The meet was held on Friday at the Myers Field House. The girls’ team finished in second place with 122.50 points behind Belle Plaine with 238 points. Behind TCU were Sibley East in third, Mayer Lutheran in fourth, Lester Prairie in fifth, Le Sueur-Henderson (LSH) in sixth, and Norwood- Young America (NYA) in seventh place.
The boys finished in third place with 104.50 points behind Belle Plaine with 193.50 points, and Sibley East with 162.50 points. Following the Titans were LHS in fourth, Mayer Lutheran in fifth, NYA in sixth and Lester Prairie in seventh.
In the boys’ races, top place finishes went to several Titans. Jordan Meyer took first in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.62, and Dante Juberian took second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.52.
Connor Skluzacek took third in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.61, followed by Aven Prigge in fourth place with a time of 10.32.
Austin Rutt finished in fifth place in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:37.83.
