Albert “Jack” Janda, 83, of Montgomery, died on December 27, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital, New Prague.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Montgomery. Interment and military rites will be at Calvary Cemetery, Montgomery.

A memorial visitation will be held at the church for two hours prior to the services on Friday.

Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

Albert “Jack”, the son of Milo and Esther (Braun) Janda, was born on May 12, 1936, in Montgomery. He served in U.S. Army from 1955 to 1959. He married Shirley Kennedy on January 12, 1963, in Montgomery.
He was formerly employed by Federal Stamping and Det-Tronics, prior to his retirement. Jack enjoyed reading novels, wood carving, fishing, spending time up north, and golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; five children, Lynn Janda, Dave (and Heather) Janda of Muskego, WI, Lisa (and Kevin) Krohn of Montgomery, Mike (and Darlene) Janda of Owatonna and Kurt (and LuAnn) Janda of Northfield; grandchildren, Robbie, Kristen, Matthew, Kyle, Nicole, Sara (and Andy), Ashley (and Matt), Cassie, Heather (and Matt) and Corey (and Kelly); 12 great grandchildren; four siblings, Richard “Dick” (and JoAnne) Janda of Pardeeville, WI, Mike (and Judy) Janda of South Milwaukee, WI, Joan Smalley of Lake Delton, WI, and Susie (and Mac) MacIntosh of Waukesha, WI; one sister in law, Annetta Janda of Townsend, WI; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, David Janda, Jr.; and one brother, Wayne Janda.
