Hollermann continues to make difference in Spanish Basketball League

Rose Hollermann

Rose Hollermann, daughter of John and Michele Collerman of Elysian, is currently playing wheelchair basketball in a men’s Champions League in Spain for the second year.

Hollermann recently graduated from the University of Texas, Arlington with a degree in Elementary Education Below are some of her thoughts from an interview on playing with the BSR Econy Gran Canaria team.

The North American international forward of BSR Econy Gran Canaria took stock of her first season as a professional away from her native country and offered her reasons to renew her commitment to the team for this season. 

Rose was excited to remain linked to a team that works like a family and that has enormous growth potential, in which Jonay Caraballo gives them the confidence to make everything work even above the best forecasts.

A different summer “The summer has been very different from what I expected. having to stay at home, spending time with my family. It's something that we can't experience very often and I've really enjoyed it.”

“The normal thing would have been to be in Tokyo for the Games and prepare for them at the Training Center in Colorado instead of at home, so it would have been very different and it is an experience that makes me very excited. I've been waiting for it for a long time ”.

Gran Canaria, your first experience outside the US “Last season was great for me. I really enjoyed being on the team. I arrived and felt welcomed very quickly by the whole group. Jonay and my teammates put a lot of trust in me. I felt that we connected very well as a team and we managed to play at a great level with great group dynamics being there for...
