Dr. Clark Francis Seha, 83

Funeral service for Dr. Clark Francis Seha was held July 27, 2020 at the Stiftskirche, in Bielefeld Germany. Dr. Seha died on July 11, in Bielefeld where he served as Pastor of the Bodelschwingh congregation and the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer community.
Clark was born July 14, 1937, the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Krueger) Seha of Janesville Township, Waseca County, Minnesota. Clark grew up on the family farm known for its production of sorghum. He attended the Okaman country school and graduated from Waterville Highschool. Following high school, Clark attended Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota and eventually received his Master of Divinity at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. Following a two-year vicarage in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study and receive his Doctorate in Theology at Wilhelms University in Munster, Germany. Clark was pastor of the Student Congregation in Munster prior to becoming pastor of the Boedelschwingh congregation.
Clark was involved in many socio-political areas - often far beyond the boundaries of the community. This also included the community partnerships, such as the Pelusa project and the contact to the Catholic community Espiritu-Santo in Santiago de Chile and to Prague, Czech Republic
to the Church of the Bohemian Brothers. As early as the late 1970s, Clark began working with parishioners on the Christian-Jewish relationship. Here, as in many other areas, Clark was active and passionately committed, even after retirement.
Clark is survived by his wife, Annemarie (Schmidt), of Bielefeld, Germany; daughters Miriam (Frank) Fischer of Frankfort, Germany; Judith Seha and grandson Joshua of Berlin, Germany; and Esther Seha of Bielefeld, Germany; sister, Edith Njus of Ft. Worth, Texas, sister-in-law Joan Seha of Minneapolis, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brothers Richard and Gerald, brothers Marlan and Robert, and sister Mary Kay Seha.
Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian, Minnesota at a later date.
