Woman killed in crash near Lonsdale
A 22-year-old woman from Lakeville died Saturday morning, April 22, as a result of a crash in rural Rice County.
The Rice County Sheriff’s office was called to a crash at the intersection of Union Lake Trail and Farwell Ave., near Lonsdale, at 6:26 a.m. Saturday. According to a press release, “Upon arrival responding officers and deputies located a single victim who had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash. The deceased victim was identified as a 22-year-old female from the Lakeville, MN area.”
The woman’s identity was not released, pending notification of the victims next of kin. The Rice County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Lonsdale Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol and Lonsdale Fire and Rescue. The investigation into this fatal crash is continuing.
