Trojans stay unbeaten during dominant week

With four more wins, the New Prague Trojan softball team is now at 11-0 on the season.

The squad was dominant last week, allowing just one run total in four games as they defeated Holy Family Catholic, Delano, Rochester Mayo and Minnetonka. The Trojans Tuesday, April 25, game with Hutchinson was rained out.

The Trojans host Orono Friday, April 28, and will be at Waconia Tuesday, May 2. They have a home makeup game Wednesday, May 3, against Hutchinson and are at Holy Family Catholic on Thursday, May 4.

Despite the Trojans’ impressive record, the team was not ranked in the top 10 in the first Class AAAA ratings released last week. New Prague was 12th in the polling.

Nichole Reed and Maggie Vivant threw a combined one-hitter to defeat Holy Family Catholic 8-1 Tuesday, April 18.
