Scott Co. Sheriff issues alert for missing teens

The Scott County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating two missing teens from the New Prague area. They were last seen together at 10:58 AM on April 15, 2017, leaving the Walmart in Shakopee. The initial investigation into their disappearance has uncovered communications that suggest that they may be interested in traveling to Austin, Texas.
The children are identified as Hailey Ann Delbow, 16 years old, 5 feet, 4 inches and 145 pounds, and Terry Dewayne Cook, 17 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches and 110 pounds.

They were last seen driving a silver 2007 Volkswagen Jetta, MN license plate 678DXW.

“These kids are just that – kids,” said Scott County Sheriff Luke Hennen. “There’s little chance that they fully understand the risks and dangers of their actions. If they need help for any reason, help can be provided, no questions asked. But our first priority is making sure these juveniles return home safely, and we’re asking the public’s help in ensuring that happens.”

If seen, people are asked to call 911.  If you have a tip, go to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/ScottCoSheriffOffice, and click on “Submit A Tip,” or you may submit an anonymous tip via text message by texting SCSOTIPS and your tip to 847411.  You may also leave a message at (952) 496-8755.
