Muskies qualify for state

New Market broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the seventh inning and Nate Rost pitched a complete game with 11 hits and seven strikeouts to defeat St. Patrick 5-2 in Prior Lake Friday, Aug. 4. The win gives the Muskies a berth in the State Class C Tournament. 

Faribault defeated Shakopee 16-5 in the other elimination game Friday. 

New Market will play at Faribault at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, in a seeding game in the Region 3C playoffs. The loser is the No. 4 seed from the region at the state tournament.
