Senior Citizens to meet March 2 The New Prague Senior Citizens will meet at 12:45 p.m. Friday, March 2, at the New Prague City Hall second floor meeting room, 118 Central Ave. N. The bus picks up senior citizens for local shopping every Wednesday. For reservations call 952-496-8341. All Seniors are welcome to join the club for meetings and cards the first Friday of each moth at 12:45 p.m.
Cancer Support Group meeting on March 6 Area residents are welcome to attend a Cancer Support Group, which will meet on Tuesday, March 6. People can come share their experiences and learn more about coping with the challenges of cancer. Family and friends are welcome to attend. The group meets the first Tuesday of each month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague, 301 Second St. NE. Meetings are in the Administrative Conference Room on the first floor. For more information call 952-257-8220.
Beyond the Yellow Ribbon to meet March 6 in Prior Lake Beyond the Yellow Ribbon South of the River will meet from 7-8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, in the lower level of the Prior Lake VFW Club, 16306 Main Ave. They welcome people’s ability to participate in upcoming meetings and events.
Prairie Quilters to hold next meeting on March 8 The Prairie Quilters of the New Prague area will hold their next meeting from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, at New Prague City Hall in the second floor meeting room, 118 Central Ave. N. They will have a short meeting, show and tell plus some tips on picking fabric — colors, blending and focus fabrics — from Reidun. Please check out the buckets on the SQS table. Those attending should bring any pillowcases they have done for Ryan’s cases. The group has 57 so far but still needs 123 more to meet their challenge. Remember - quilt retreat day on Saturday, March 17, at Paul’s Place at HTLC. They will work on pillowcases first, then members can work on their projects the rest of the day. The group will meet from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day. People should bring their own lunch and beverages. For more information, call Reidun at 952-758-3596. The answering machine is always on.
