K-9s now sniffing out zebra mussels
The newest methods of trying to prevent the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) by Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is the use of K9 dogs, who have been trained to sniff out zebra mussels. DNR officials, along with one of the four canines used in the state, were in Madison Lake showing the media how they detect AIS.
