Four apply for city boards and commissions

The City of New Prague received four applications from residents for its city boards and commissions. The closing date for applications for the seven openings was Monday, April 10. The New Prague City Council is tentatively scheduled to begin interviews with the applicants on Monday, April 17. A second date is also set up for Monday, May 1. The council will likely discuss what to do about the remaining three openings at its April 17 meeting.

Vacancies on the boards and commissions are

• Planning Commission, two openings, both four year terms

• EDA (Economic Development Board), one opening, a six year term • Park Board, one opening, a four year term

• Park Board youth representative, one opening, a one year term

• Golf Board, one opening, a three year term

• Utility Commission, one opening, a four year term Of the four applicants, two are current members who are reapplying.
