Five game Buc win streak snapped

The WEM baseball team had its five game winning streak snapped Friday, April 21 by Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, losing 6-2 in the nonconference battle. The Bucs defeated Maple River, 1-0, April 18, to run their record to 4-0 in the Gopher Conference and 5-1 overall. Dallas McBroom and Taylor Glende limited the Eagles to five hits. Brody Boran scopred the inning run in the bottom of the seventh. In the loss to LCWM, McBroom and Will Storch knocked in the two runs. WEM, 5-2 overall, play at Maple River Thursday, host Waseca Friday, and play at Kenyon-Wanamingo Tuesday. For more on the two games, check out the April 27 edition of the LIFE/Enterprise.
