First ones in!

Kiffin Deihl, left, and Karla Schultz, right, were the first two paying customers Saturday morning, July 1, when the New Prague Aquatics Center opened for business. They celebrated by leaping into the deep end under the watchfuleye of lifeguard Ellen Popple. The long-anticipated opening of the Aquatics Center took place at 7 a.m. The indoor facility is open seven days a week, starting at 5:30 a.m. weekdays (except holidays), 7 a.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. Sundays. The center is planning a free swimming day, with no admission or membership required, on Thursday, July 6.
