Fill 'er up!

Workers turned on the tap and began filling the main pool in the New Prague Aquatics Center, which is currently under construction adjacent to the New Prague Area Schools Central Education Campus Friday, April 28. From left, Craig Novotny and Bruce Reimers of New Prague Utilities and Craig Most, operations directior at New Prague Area Schools, stand in the pool as it fills. The pool will hold 450,000 gallons of water and is being filled at a rate of 750 gallons per minute. The cost of the water is being donated by New Prague Utilities. Construction continues on the aquatics center, which is slated to open in mid-June.
