Eric Duane Hunter, 42

Eric Duane Hunter, age 42 of Waterville died on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at District One Hospital in Faribault. Born on December 30, 1975 in Emo, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of Duane Vlcek and Gloria Hunter.  Eric had been employed with Greg Wilmes Construction for many years.  He loved the outdoors, shooting pool, taking his sons fishing, and outdoor fun. He is survived by his parents, Gloria Geyer of Waterville and Duane Vlcek of Minneapolis; brother, Michael Hunter of Waterville; sister, Shelley (Hunter) Thompson of Thunder Bay, Ontario; brother, Brian Vlcek of Minneapolis; brother, Eddie Vlcek; two sons, Brennan and Avery Hunter of Waterville; and many aunts, uncles and their families.  He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Theodore Geyer Sr.; grandparents, Albert and Bella Hunter and Ed and Mae Vlcek. Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville with Pastor Joel Hollerich officiating.  Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
