Child in stable condition after sledding crash

A 3-year-old boy was injured Saturday while sledding at his family farm near Veseli

Dylan Pint’s sled veered off the path and hit a low hanging tree branch, according to a godfundme.com page set up by the family. The branch hit his face and he fell back, hitting the back of his skull.

He was taken by North Air ambulance to Children’s Hospital and is being treated for a fractured skull, concussion and abrasion on his face. As of 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, he was listed in stable condition.

According to the Rice County Sheriff’s office, a call was received at 10:10 a.m. Saturday at an address on 50th Street W, in Wheatland Township. Rice County Deputies, Lonsdale Fire/Rescue, Faribault Fire/Rescue, Lonsdale Police and North Ambulance all assisted on the call.

A go fund me page, titled “Support for Dylan” has been set up to assist the family with uncovered medical expenses.
