Bluejays overpower Titans
Week two of high school football brought a loss to the TCU Titans when they hosted the Waseca Bluejays on Friday, Sept. 8. The Class 4A Bluejays beat the Class 3A Titans 41-12.
The Titans got an early start in the first quarter after a 27-yard touchdown completion in the back area of the end zone. The team’s other score came from a 26-yard jump ball completion by Justin Kopet in the second half.
In contrast, Waseca scored six touchdowns. The first was an 88-yard kick off return by wide receiver Saiveon Williamson, followed by a 33-yard touchdown reception by wide receiver Malik Willingham, an 8-yard touchdown run by another wide receiver Jack Vetsch, an 11-yard run by quarterback Hunter Rodriguez, another 2-yard touchdown by Rodriguez, and the last one, another 2-yard touchdown run by runnginback Joe Hagen.
For week three, the Titans travel to New Ulm to take on the Eagles.
